Boutique Hotel Zeeuws-Meisje is located in Zierikzee harbor. The hotel can easily be reached by car; you may unload your luggage in front of the door and subsequently park your vehicle in the Hoofdpoort public parking area for free. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the car park.

Area

The hotel is located at the harbor entrance. When walking further into the harbor, you will encounter several restaurants and outdoor seating areas. Also, it takes only a few minutes of following atmospheric side streets to reach the historic city center, where you will find many lovely shops and bars.

The town of Zierikzee is one of the top 10 Dutch historic towns. A walk through the city is certainly worth it, for there are plenty of sights to appreciate. The Sint Lievens Monster Tower – also called The Fat Tower – is one of these. This 62 meter high tower is not only to be admired but can also be climbed, and offers a beautiful panorama of Zierikzee and the Oosterschelde.

Beach

Of course, a visit to the beach is an integral part of a visit to Zeeland. There are several beautiful beaches in the area to which you can travel by car or by bike. Below an overview of the beaches and distances:

Ouwerkerk (small beach) – 8 km

Brouwersdam – 16 km

Renesse – 16-18 km

Westenschouwen (Delta Works) – 19 km

Nieuw-Haamstede – 20 km

Ouwerkerk beach and the Brouwersdam offer free parking year-round.

During the holiday season, parking rates apply at the other beaches.

Fun to do

There is plenty to do on the island of Schouwen-Duiveland. We will offer you some inspiration in advance, but for more tips or information, you can, of course, always stop by our reception.

The island has several beautiful nature reserves, including Boswachterij Westenschouwen. Here lies the largest forest in Zeeland. Enjoy our magnificent nature by way of the many hiking and cycling routes, and don't forget to bring your camera. Chances are you'll spot deer, roe, Scottish Highlanders, or other animals. The active among us can enjoy the mountain bike trail or the climbing forest.

In Dreischor you find Wijnhoeve De Kleine Schorre. Here you can enjoy a tour of the vineyards and/or book a wine tasting. Tip: pick up a bottle of Zeeland wine immediately, tasty for at home!
